The ModSDKM16C Evaluation Kit offers an economic entry to the ModSDK platform. The kit contains a specific microcontroller module and the E8A-USB debugger/programmer. A complete ‘ready to go’ package of development and application software is shipped with the package:
• Renesas HEW4 embedded workbench
• Evaluation license of Renesas NC30/NC308 C-compiler for all R8C, M16C and M32C derivatives. (60 day full version, then 64k code size limited)
• Evaluation license of IAR EW32 workbench with 4k code size limited version of the IAR M16C/M32C C/EC++ compiler
• IAR start-up code generator „MakeApp”
• Free tools for Flash programming
• Generic examples in source code for IAR and Renesas compilers
• Complete documentation on CD
No external power supply is required to run the evaluation kit. The power can be supplied to the module via the USB connection of the E8 debugger.
