The EXM32 modules provide high-performance computing power at very low power consumption. They incorporate a high performance 32-bit RISC CPU, DRAM, Flash and an extensive set of interface controllers on a 90 x 65mm board. The EXM32 family was conceived to be used in demanding applications and environments and is generally available in the industrial temperature range -40 ... +85°C. EXM32 modules are connected to the carrier board using extremely robust elastomeric connectors which make EXM32 immune against shock and vibrations and other environmental hazards. No cooling is necessary despite the substantial performance of the CPU modules. The EXM32-AU1250 module features an on-chip hardware decoder for MPEG videos, and an add-on module is available offering GPS and GSM/GPRS functions (optionally UMTS).

The EXM32 Starter Kits contain everything necessary to get a Windows® CE, QNX® or Linux evaluation environment for EXM32 modules working very quickly.
The main components are the EXM32 Motherboard LITE and an EXM32 CPU module (SH7760 or AU1250).

The EXM32 Motherboard LITE provides a perfect evaluation platform for EXM32 modules. It incorporates most interfaces and connectors to operate an EXM32 CPU module and adds a Compact Flash socket.

For enhanced requirements MSC also offers a more sophisticated Development Platform based on the larger EXM32 Motherboard FULL.
